Ideas Generation for Major Project

For my major project, I would like to focus on making illustrations for multimedia or mixed media projects. This is more common for projects now: books don't stay as books, but they also become podcasts, animations, games, and other works that often seem unrelated to the original content. This is commonly used in genres that require active participation from the audience; games, animations, and books use this method often to promote their work.

One famous example of this from the game Cyberpunk 2077: the game itself was considered a massive failure, but it had a media mix project with an animation that somewhat healed their poor reputation.

Although the styles are very different, it creates an interesting contrast with the same initial concept that would normally not be seen in a single media product.

Based on this, I was inspired that making a great series of illustrations across different media can be an interesting project. So, what I would like to do is to get an existing item (like a book) that did not do media mix, then make a series of illustration that can show what a media mix illustration can be like for that item. For example, I could get a famous animation that does not have a book or game, then make a illustration of that animation if it were to be shown as those. I would also like to keep the concept of cartoon-like or animation styles; that is the art style that i have been aiming for all the time and cartoon styles can show more dynamic and unrealistic images that I'd like to draw.

If not, I would like to try make illustration covers for comic books or animation, as they are what got me into Graphic Design in the first place. Making covers is interesting, but making some illustrations to be inserted into the text (like magazines) is another take that could be done. Again, if it were to be done, I'd like to do it in cartoon styles.

As the concepts I am aiming for is cartoon styles, the target audience would be teens to young adults who are often exposed to animations, comics, games, and such. That specific age group is the most exposed to these types of projects, so they would be the ideal target for my project.
